Archery Ontario is pleased to announce that the results from the 2026 Ontario Field Championship are now available.
The championship was held August 22–23 at the Algoma Rod & Gun Club, bringing athletes together for two days of World Archery Field competition.
Field archery challenges athletes with a very different environment from traditional target archery. Competitors navigate a multi-target course through varied terrain, with targets positioned at different distances and angles. Changes in elevation, lighting, slopes, and terrain all add an additional level of skill and strategy to the competition.
This year's championship featured athletes competing across numerous equipment and age categories, including recurve, barebow, compound, longbow, instinctive, compound fixed pins, hunter, and para divisions. The championship followed the World Archery Field format, with competitors shooting two rounds of 12 targets.
Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed in this year's championship, and especially to those who earned provincial championship medals. Archery Ontario would also like to thank the Algoma Rod & Gun Club, officials, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the event a success.
