Your application should clearly demonstrate your experience and expertise in the sport of archery, with a particular emphasis on your involvement at the national level — as an athlete, coach, or both. Be sure to include:

  • Your coaching background across all three disciplines: compound, recurve, and barebow.
  • Relevant professional experience that supports your ability to lead and develop athletes.
  • Your team management skills and ability to create a high-performance, athlete-focused environment.
  • A compelling explanation of why you are the ideal candidate for this role, supported by specific achievements or qualities.

If you are applying as part of a coaching team, please describe:

  • How you and your co-applicants collaborate effectively.
  • How your shared coaching philosophy will enhance the athlete experience and team success.

Additionally, your application should include:

  • An overview of your planned selection trials and the four proposed training sessions.
  • Strategies for building team cohesion and fostering a strong team culture.
  • Your training plan to prepare athletes technically, mentally, and physically for competition.
  • How you intend to support the athletes throughout the preparation phase and during the Games.

Experience managing and travelling with youth athletes is considered a significant asset—please highlight this if applicable.

Submission can be in the form of a written document or a presentation to the committee: Katie Roth, Jason Stewart, Mark D’Cunha and Adam Thomas. The committee will review all applications and submit their suggestions to the Archery Ontario Board of Directors. The Board of Directors will make a final decision and select the candidates in which they believe will be best fit for the role.
